Privacy policy

The short version. Your macros — and every character in them — stay on your phone. There is no account and no server of ours to sync with. What leaves your device is limited to crash diagnostics, usage statistics without any content, your purchase status, and advertising data if you use the free version and consent to ads.
1. Who is responsible
The controller for the processing described here is Rapai Balázs, an independent developer based in Hungary. For anything about this policy or your data, write to info@mousejigglerandautotyper.com.
2. What stays on your phone
These never leave your device, and we have no way to read them:
- your macros and the steps inside them;
- every piece of text you type into a macro, and the contents of any .txt file you import;
- the name and Bluetooth address of the computer you pair with;
- your keyboard layout choice, your settings, and whether onboarding is done.
They are stored in the app's private storage and are removed when you uninstall the app. There is no cloud backup of them on our side.
3. What we never receive
- No macro content. Crash reports are stripped of quoted text, macro parameters, imported file content and clipboard content before they are sent.
- No device names or Bluetooth addresses. These are removed from crash reports and breadcrumbs by the same filter.
- No precise location. The app never asks for a location permission, and it uses Bluetooth scanning only to find your computer, declared as never being used for location. Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics see your IP address like any internet service and may estimate your general area from it (see section 4); nothing more precise is collected.
- No account. There is no sign-up, no email address, no password, no contact list, no photos, no files beyond the .txt you choose to import — which stays on the phone.
4. What we receive, and why

We do not sell personal data, we do not build advertising profiles ourselves, and we do not use any of this for automated decisions about you.
5. Who processes it for us
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., United States) — crash and error diagnostics. Their privacy policy.
- PostHog (PostHog, Inc., United States; data stored in the EU, in Frankfurt) — product usage analysis. Their privacy policy.
- RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States) — purchase and entitlement status. Their privacy policy.
- Google (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA) — Google Play distribution and billing, AdMob advertising with its consent flow, and Firebase Analytics usage statistics. Their privacy policy.
These are the only third parties the app contacts. It makes no other network requests: everything else it does happens locally over Bluetooth.
6. Advertising and your consent
In the free version, a rewarded video plays before a macro starts. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, Google's consent flow asks you before any ad is requested, and nothing advertising-related is collected until you answer. You can change your answer later, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most devices). Buying Lifetime removes all ads, and with them all advertising-related processing.
7. Transfers outside the EEA
Sentry and RevenueCat process data in the United States, and Google may process data outside the EEA. PostHog stores its data in the EU, but as a US company it may access it from the United States. These transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or on an adequacy decision, together with the safeguards in our agreements with them. 8. How long it is kept
- Crash diagnostics: up to 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- Purchase status: for as long as the entitlement has to be honoured, so that "Restore purchase" keeps working, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Advertising data: kept by Google under its own retention rules.
- Usage statistics: event-level data for 2 months, then deleted automatically; only aggregated reports are kept.
- Product usage analysis: 1 year, then deleted automatically.
- Everything on your phone: until you delete the macro or uninstall the app.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent for advertising and usage statistics at any time. Because the app has no account, we usually need a technical identifier to find anything about you at all — the anonymous purchase identifier, or the identifier shown on a crash report. Write to info@mousejigglerandautotyper.com and we will help; we answer within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority — in Hungary that is the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) — or to the authority where you live.
10. Deleting your data
To delete the data Mouse Jiggler & Auto Typer BT has sent about you:
- Email info@mousejigglerandautotyper.com with the subject "Delete my data", from any address.
- If you bought Lifetime, include the Google Play order number (it starts with "GPA." and is in the purchase receipt email), so we can find your purchase record.
- We confirm the deletion by email within one month.
Everything stored on your phone is deleted by uninstalling the app.
What is deleted, and what is kept:
- Deleted on request: your purchase and entitlement record at our purchase provider, and any crash reports we can link to you.
- Deleted automatically, even without a request: crash diagnostics after 90 days, usage statistics after 2 months, product usage analysis after 1 year.
- Kept: the record that a purchase happened, for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Google keeps its own Play order and advertising records under Google's policies; you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
11. Permissions the app asks for
- Nearby devices (Bluetooth). To advertise the phone as a keyboard and mouse, and to connect to the computer you pair with. This is what the app fundamentally does.
- Notifications. To show the ongoing notification while a computer is connected or a macro runs, with a Stop action. Android requires a visible notification for this kind of background work.
- Internet. Only for the services listed in section 5. Macro content is never sent.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or storage.
12. Children
The app is a utility for controlling your own computer and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has used the app and you want the related diagnostics removed, contact us.
13. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a service, or change what is collected, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be pointed out in the app or in the Play listing. If a change relies on your consent, we will ask again.
